Waypoint Within

Terms of Service

Last updated: August 2026

About these terms

These terms apply when you book or take part in a session with Waypoint Within, operated by Bec Sonkkila (ABN 13 045 952 242), based in Wollongong, NSW, Australia.

By booking a session you agree to these terms. If anything here doesn't sit right with you, please raise it before booking rather than after.

What I offer

Waypoint Within provides counselling with hypnotherapy, intimacy coaching, and herbal and sensory products.

Sessions are available online worldwide and in person in Wollongong, NSW. I work across Australian and European time zones.

Sessions are offered as single appointments or as blocks and ongoing programs. Current formats and pricing are confirmed at the time of booking.

What this work is, and what it isn't

This is not an emergency or crisis service. I do not monitor messages continuously and cannot respond to urgent situations. If you need immediate help, contact your local emergency service. In Australia, Lifeline is available 24 hours on 13 11 14.

My work supports self-understanding, recovery and change. It is not a substitute for medical care, psychiatric treatment, or medication prescribed to you. If you are under the care of a doctor or mental health professional, this work sits alongside that care rather than replacing it.

I do not diagnose conditions and I do not provide medical advice.

Therapeutic work has no guaranteed outcome. I bring my training and full attention to each session; what changes, and how quickly, depends on many things neither of us controls.

Booking and payment

Sessions are booked through Calendly and paid at the time of booking through Stripe. Your appointment is confirmed once payment has been received.

Prices are shown in Australian dollars. If you are paying from another country, your bank may apply its own conversion rate or fees.

For programs and multi-session blocks, payment terms are agreed in writing before the work begins.

Cancellations and rescheduling

Plans change, and I would rather you tell me than not come.

If something genuinely unavoidable happens, tell me. I would rather find a way through than hold a rule for its own sake.

If I need to cancel or reschedule, you will be offered an alternative time or a full refund, whichever you prefer.

Refunds

Refunds are made in line with the cancellation terms above, and are returned to the original payment method.

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, or any equivalent consumer protection that applies where you live.

Online sessions

Online sessions depend on a working connection at both ends. Please join from somewhere private where you won't be interrupted.

If technical problems make a session unworkable, we will reschedule at no additional cost.

Sessions are not recorded unless we have agreed to it in advance. Hypnosis recordings and personalised meditations are available on request and are made for your personal use only.

Confidentiality

What you bring to a session stays between us. I do not discuss clients, and I do not share identifying details.

There are limits, and you should know them before you begin. I may need to break confidentiality where:

Wherever possible, I will talk to you first.

I may discuss my work in professional supervision, which is standard practice and itself confidential. Identifying details are not used.

Boundaries and conduct

How I work, what a session can involve, and the boundaries I hold are set out in full in my code of conduct. Please read it before booking.

In summary: consent is ongoing and can be withdrawn at any moment without explanation or cost. You are never obliged to disclose anything, try anything, or continue with anything. I do not have sex with clients, and I do not enter personal, romantic or business relationships with clients.

Your responsibilities

Herbal and sensory products

Herbal, oil and botanical preparations are offered to support your own practice. They are not medicines and are not intended to diagnose, treat or cure any condition.

Check the ingredients if you have allergies. Speak to your doctor before using any preparation if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking prescribed medication.

Ending the work

You can stop at any time, and you don't have to explain why.

I may end the work if I believe it is no longer serving you, if your needs would be better met elsewhere, or if these terms are not being respected. Where I do, I will tell you why and, where I can, suggest where else to look.

Intellectual property

Recordings, meditations, written materials and resources I provide are for your personal use. Please don't share, publish or sell them.

The contents of waypointwithin.com.au and its linked resource pages remain my property.

Liability

I practise within my training and competence.

To the extent permitted by law, I am not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from the services described here. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law.

Privacy

How I collect, use and store your information is set out in the privacy policy.

Changes to these terms

I may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects when they were last revised. The terms in force when you book are the ones that apply to that booking.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
